INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

TIMING BELT KIT - F01127RU

DISASSEMBLY METHOD

(1) DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE CABLE OF THE BATTERY.

(2) REMOVE THE FRESH AIR PIPE FOR CRANKCASE FORCED VENTILATION FROM THE AIR FILTER OUTLET HOSE.

(3) DISCONNECT THE INTAKE TEMPERATURE SENSOR CONNECTOR FROM THE AIR FILTER OUTLET HOSE.

(4) REMOVE THE AIR FILTER OUTLET HOSE FROM THE THROTTLE BODY.

(5) REMOVE THE BOLTS OF THE AIR FILTER HOUSING, AND

THEN TAKE OFF THE AIR FILTER HOUSING.

(6) REMOVE THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL.

(7) REMOVE THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPLASH SHIELD.

(8) REMOVE THE AUXILIARY DRIVE BELT.

(9) REMOVE THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT, AND THEN REMOVE THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY, AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-1.

(10) REMOVE THE UPPER TIMING BELT COVER BOLTS BEFORE DISASSEMBLING, AND TAKE OFF THE UPPER TIMING BELT COVER.

(11)REMOVE THE LOWER FRONT TIMING BELT COVER BOLTS AND TAKE OFF THE LOWER FRONT TIMING BELT COVER, AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-2.

(12) INSTALL THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLTS.

(13) ROTATE THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT CLOCKWISE AT LEAST ONE FULL TURN TO SET THE CRANKSHAFT TIMING TEETH.

ALIGN THE MARK ON THE WHEEL WITH THE NOTCH AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TIMING BELT COVER, AND ALIGN IT WITH THE TIMING GEAR OF THE CAMSHAFT. TIME MARK, AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-3.

(14) SLIGHTLY LOOSEN THE WATER PUMP FIXING BOLTS, AND USE A TOOL TO TURN THE WATER PUMP CLOCKWISE TO LOOSEN IT. THE TIME BAND, AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-4.

(15) REMOVE THE RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT.

(16) REMOVE THE TIMING BELT.

INSTALLATION METHOD

(1) ALIGN THE TIMING MARK ON THE CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR WITH THE NOTCH AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TIMING BELT COVER, AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-3.

(2) ALIGN THE TIMING MARKON THE TIMING GEAR OF THE CAMSHAFT, AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-3.

(3) INSTALL THE TIMING BELT.

(4) INSTALL THE RIGHT ENGINE SUPPORT BRACKET AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 2-1-5.

(5)ROTATE THE WATER PUMP CLOCKWISE UNTIL THE POINTER ON THE TIMING BELT AUTOMATIC TENSIONER ADJUSTMENT ARM ALIGNS WITH THE NOTCH ON THE TIMING BELT AUTOMATIC TENSIONER BRACKET, AS INDICATED BY THE ARROWIN FIGURE 2-1-6.

(6) TIGHTEN THE PUMP MOUNTING BOLTS.

(7) ROTATE THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY CLOCKWISE TWO FULL TURNS.

(8) LOOSEN THE WATER PUMP MOUNTING BOLTS.

(9) ROTATE THE WATER PUMP CLOCKWISE UNTIL THE POINTER ON THE TIMING BELT AUTOMATIC TENSIONER ADJUSTMENT ARM ALIGNS WITH THE POINTER ON THE TIMING BELT AUTOMATIC TENSIONER BRACKET, AS SHOWN BY THE ARROW IN FIGURE 2-1-7.

(10) TIGHTEN THE WATER PUMP MOUNTING BOLTS WITH A TORQUE OF 10 N.M.

(11) REMOVE THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT (WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED TO ROTATE THE CRANKSHAFT).

(12) INSTALL THE UPPER AND LOWER TIMING BELT COVERS.

(13) TIGHTEN THE BOLTS OF THE FRONT UPPER AND LOWER TIMING BELT COVER.

(14) INSTALL THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY.

(15) INSTALL THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT. TIGHTEN THE

CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT TO 95 N.M, AND THEN TIGHTEN IT AN ADDITIONAL 30° PLUS 15°.

(16) INSTALL THE AUXILIARY DRIVE BELT.

(17) INSTALL THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPLASH GUARD.

(18) INSTALL THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL.

(19) INSTALL THE AIR FILTER HOUSING AND TIGHTEN THE MOUNTING BOLTS.

(20) CONNECT THE AIR FILTER OUTLET HOSE TO THE THROTTLE BODY.

(21) CONNECT THE FRESH AIR INTAKE PIPE FOR THE CRANKCASE VENTILATION TO THE OUTLET HOSE OF THE AIR FILTER.

(22) CONNECT THE INTAKE TEMPERATURE SENSOR CONNECTOR TO THE AIR CLEANER OUTLET HOSE.

(23) CONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.
